A seminar for artists

Anders Petterson of ArtTactic and David Gryn of Artprojx will share their thoughts and knowledge about art market issues that face artists, and provide practical advice for how to effectively engage with the market.
- Introduction to the characteristics and dynamics of the art market
- An artworld toolkit (ideas on marketing, pr, presentation, networking, exhibitions, perception)
- How to engage with collectors, galleries and general audiences
The day will include a guided bus tour of NEW ART BIRMINGHAM exhibitions
- THE ARTIST WITH TWO BRAINS curated by Chris Hammond
- GLOBALOCAL curated by Kenny Schachter
- ART MARKET featuring over 60 UK-based artists
On board you will also be able to see a newly commissioned piece of work by visual artist Ella Turner, returning to Ikon Gallery for an artist's reception 6.30-7.30pm.

An afternoon of discussion with Anders Petterson of ArtTactic and David Gryn of Artprojx who will share their expertise on collecting in today’s contemporary art market. The guest speaker is Sheila McGregor who will talk about the important role of Public Collections in cultivating and developing an art market.
