The Word strand of Urban Fusion is rooted in a ‘sense of place’ and community, with a strong focus on the written and spoken word.
The city’s literary community will present an extensive ranges of activity exploring the work of established and emergent authors while ground-breaking initiatives like Rep’s Children and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s participatory programme will aim to make theatre accessible to all. Towards the end of 2005, artSites will present a unique series of performances as the culmination of their City of Villages project.
