As part of Birmingham City Council’s local arts development initiative two identical mobile arts units have been commissioned. The mobile units are multimedia high-tech vehicles which convert into spaces for arts activity with drop-down walls and extending floor sections; they are equipped with a laptop, plasma screen, PA system, DVD player, cushioned seating and have disabled access.
Bringing the arts directly to Birmingham residents.

These facilities will help to address the lack of cultural provision in the constituencies, connect with communities’ needs and wants whilst building on good practice elsewhere.

During 2007 a mobile event programme will be developed by artSites and Sound Futures in Perry Bar, Ladywood and Hodge Hill.

The Mobile Arts Vehicles are now available for hire. £200 Vehicle Hire per session (1 day) + £35 Fuel and Refreshments

These costs are based on a session (1 day) and covers the payment of a driver to deliver, set up, take down and return the vehicle to it’s storage depot. To find out more information or for bookings contact the Arts and Regeneration Manager on 0121 303 2592
