artSupporters will be an opportunity for adults from 16 to 116 to develop skills in a range of areas to support community arts activities. The young persons version of this scheme – artSmentors – has seen young people develop and use skills in stewarding, theatre lighting and sound, curating of exhibitions, supporting artists in workshops and much more.
This year current and new adult volunteers and supporters of the artSites will also be able to have the chance to take part in training and be a part of running an artSite through the artSupporters scheme, including the opportunity to help programme activities.
This scheme will help to further deliver the vision of artSites: To make the arts part of the everyday experience of local people. To excite and engage people as makers, participants, communicators and audiences of the arts.
