Dynamics ’05 is a new international puppet festival taking place at venues across Birmingham and The West Midlands. In a spectacular three weeks of events, Dynamics ’05 will present an amazing range of puppeteers from all four corners of the globe, including Switzerland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Canada, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Portugal and Belgium as well as some of the best UK artists and companies, presenting an extravaganza of puppetry that mixes folklore with technology, tradition with innovation.
If you thought puppetry was just for kids, then you may well be surprised by what you see! Within Dynamics ’05 there’s everything from dancing marionettes to intriguing shadow puppetry, from fascinating micro-puppets to the clever manipulation of giant figures. This is puppetry for all ages, and it takes place both at traditional theatre venues and at some surprising indoor and outdoor spaces, too.
