Get ready for ArtsFest 2005!

For one weekend only, from 9 – 11 September, the streets of Birmingham will be taken over by the UK’s largest free arts festival. Last year, over 115,000 people attended ArtsFest and enjoyed over 300 free performances in and around the city.

ArtsFest is a great opportunity for local performers to showcase their work. Come and support them and Birmingham and be part of ArtsFest 2005!

EVENTS
Enjoy free, live entertainment from local arts organisations, singers, dancers, musicians, actors and many more. Highlights this year include performances from Birmingham Royal Ballet, CBSO, Birmingham Opera Company, Sampad and Ex-Cathedra, as well as the Big Voice procession at dusk on Saturday evening. The bill also includes local music legends Pato Banton and Soweto Kitch.

Also taking place again this year will be the Visual Arts Village, Short Cuts, Secret Garden, the ArtsFest Gallery and Craft Market, and Do It! performances.

WHERE
Performances will take place in and around the city centre at venues such as Symphony Hall, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the Mailbox, Brindleyplace, The Custard Factory, St Martin’s Church and Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
