Un-kahi (Unspoken) is a compelling piece of visual theatre on the theme of early parenthood, which takes a journey through sensitive or “unspoken” issues, such as domestic violence and post-natal depression.
Together, sampad and Women and Theatre have created a piece that is accessible to anyone, regardless of linguistic and cultural background, inspired by the real experiences of local women.
The piece imaginatively draws on techniques of visual theatre; film, music and movement, to portray human themes and emotions familiar to us all. Un-kahi aims to reflect the lives of ordinary peole, giving voices to those not usually heard.
