One of Birmingham’s landmark buildings, lying empty for years, is being brought back to life by Gallery 37.
Island House on Fazeley Street forms a gateway to the Eastside regeneration are and will act as a beacon for arts activity in the city.
Artists have been collaborating with young people throughout August, creating new artworks, instillations and exciting spaces on all three floors of the building. Projects on show include this year’s work from Birmingham Children’s Hospital patients and work produced by Gallery 37’s over 55’s project. A showcase has also been created celebrating Gallery 37’s achievements over the past 7 years.
