Urban Fusion

Birmingham City Council's Urban Fusion programme, funded by The Millennium Commission, Arts Council England West Midlands, Advantage West Midlands and The European Regional Development Agency, was a three year programme from 2005-2008.

Established to provide an extensive programming of challenging new works, investment in creative learning and young people, innovative collaborations, and a focus on regeneration and local communities. Urban Fusion supported over 93 distinct programmes of work by 60 regional companies, benefiting 19,418 artists, 716 new commissions, 21,820 other participants and attracted audiences of over 2.4 million people.
